The owner of every such farm shall receive a reasonable compensation from the commonwealth for the use of the farm as such demonstration sheep farm, for the labor and expense involved in carrying out this and the two preceding sections, and for any loss involved in the purchase or sale of sheep made in accordance with the preceding section.
