Such temporary permit may be granted for a period of six months and may be renewed once for a period of six months; provided, however, that said person write the next set of examinations; and provided, further, that said person is employed by and practices his profession under the direct supervision and control of a duly licensed veterinarian practicing in the commonwealth.
