\nThey shall hold frequent examinations in Boston, and, twice in each year, shall hold examinations in at least five other convenient places within the commonwealth, and they may hold annual or occasional examinations in other places. Public notice shall be given of all examinations.\nThey shall make a biennial report of their doings in each odd-numbered year.
