117.26 Elections; general provisions; applicability of MCL 168.641. Sec. 26. (1) All elections held under this act shall be paid for by the locality where held. Except as otherwise provided by law or ordinance, the legislative body of the city shall determine the publication and notice of the election. (2) Notwithstanding another provision of this act or a charter provision, an election under this act is subject to section 641 of the Michigan election law, 1954 PA 116, MCL 168.641.
