117.28b Municipal courts in cities in certain counties; attorney fees based on amount of judgment. Sec. 28b. In all cases, in any municipal court now or hereafter established under the provisions of this act, where a contested trial takes place, and in all cases where an appearance has been entered by an attorney at law in behalf of the opposite party, if the plaintiff was the prevailing party and was represented by a legally licensed attorney and counsel, shall be entitled to tax, as an attorney fee, the sum of $10.00 in case of rendition of a judgment of $300.00 or less, and $15.00 in case of rendition of a judgment of over $300.00; and, if the defendant is the prevailing party and was represented by a legally licensed attorney and counsel, he shall be entitled to tax, as an attorney fee, the sum of $10.00 in case the plaintiff sought in his pleadings to recover a judgment of $300.00 or less, and $15.00 in case the plaintiff sought in his pleadings to recover a judgment of over $300.00.
