125.2116 Effect of transferring employment from 1 or more local governmental units. Sec. 16. If the location of a new facility or qualified new business in an enterprise zone will have the effect of transferring employment from 1 or more other local governmental units, a business may be certified as a qualified business if the governing body of each local governmental unit from which employment will be transferred consents by resolution to the certification. The governing body of each local governmental unit from which employment is to be transferred or, if a business is moving within a local governmental unit to an enterprise zone, the governing body of that local governmental unit, shall by resolution either approve or deny the transfer. If denied, the reasons for denial shall be included in the resolution. A copy of the resolution shall be filed with the authority within 20 days after adoption. History: 1985, Act 224, Imd. Eff.
