129.22 Fee collectors relieved from liability for funds in a designated depository. Sec. 2. All fee collectors and former fee collectors of the state of Michigan or of any of its political subdivisions are hereby relieved from any liability to any county, township, city, village or school district of the state of Michigan and the state of Michigan for failure to pay over such fees in the possession of such fee collector but on deposit in a depository duly designated by or under the laws of the state of Michigan.
