15.309 Conflicts of interest; controlling law. Sec. 9. All acts and parts of acts in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, it being the intention hereof that the provisions of said section 10 of article 4 of the constitution as implemented by this act, shall constitute the sole law in respect to conflicts of interest involving legislators and state officers in contracts with the state or its political subdivisions. The Michigan Supreme Court, however, in Advisory Opinion on Constitutionality of 1975 PA 227, 396 Mich. 123, 240 N.W.2d 193 (1976), held Act 227 of the Public Acts of 1975 unconstitutional for being in violation of Mich. Const., Art. 4, § 24.
