16.712 Election of officers; terms; meetings; compensation; expenses. Sec. 2. Annually the commission shall elect such officers from its members as it deems advisable. Officers shall serve at the pleasure of the commission. The commission shall meet at least 4 times in each calendar year. A member of the commission shall receive as compensation for his services in attending meetings of the commission the sum of $35.00 for each such meeting day attended. The number of compensated meetings shall not exceed 25 meetings in each fiscal year. A member shall receive reimbursement for actual and necessary traveling expenses incurred on official business. Reimbursement shall be made in the manner provided by law for state employees. Expenses of the commission shall be approved by the chairman and 1 other member of the commission designated by the commission and shall then be paid in the same manner as other state expenses are paid.
