§ 168.203

168.203 County officers; terms of office. Sec. 203. The term of office of the county clerk, county treasurer, register of deeds, prosecuting attorney, sheriff, drain commissioner, surveyor and coroner shall begin on January 1 next following the election, and continues until a successor is elected and qualified, except that in counties having a population of 1,000,000 or more the term of office of the county treasurer shall begin on July 1 next following the election.
