168.281 State board of education and boards of state universities; membership eligibility.Sec. 281. A person is not eligible to membership on the state board of education, the board of regents of the University of Michigan, the board of trustees of Michigan State University, or the board of governors of Wayne State University if the person is not a registered and qualified elector of this state on the date the person is nominated for the office.
