168.290 State board of education and boards of state universities; oath of office, deposit. Sec. 290. Every person elected to membership on the state board of education, the board of regents of the University of Michigan, the board of trustees of Michigan State University, or the board of governors of Wayne State University, before entering upon the duties of his office, shall take and subscribe to the oath as provided in section 1 of article 11 of the state constitution, and shall deposit said oath with the secretary of state.
