§ 168.808

168.808 Statement of returns; failure to sign certificate, falsification, penalty. Sec. 808. Any member of the board of inspectors who fails to sign said certificate shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. Should any member of the board of election inspectors subscribe to any statement in said certificate which is untrue, he shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. Should any member of the board of inspectors knowingly subscribe to any statement in said certificate which is untrue, he shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a felony. Any person convicted of a misdemeanor under the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100.00, or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court. Any person convicted of a felony under the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000.00 or by imprisonment in a state penal institution for not more than 4 years.
