***** 168.875 THIS SECTION IS AMENDED EFFECTIVE 91 DAYS AFTER ADJOURNMENT OF THE 2024 REGULAR SESSION SINE DIE: See 168.875.amended ***** 168.875 Recount; completion. Sec. 875. All recounts shall be completed for a primary election not later than the twentieth day and for any other election not later than the thirtieth day immediately following the last day for filing counter petitions or the first day that recounts may lawfully begin. As soon as the recount is completed, the board shall return any ballots to their respective containers and seal the containers. The board shall then return the ballots, voting devices, machines, any related keys, and seals to the officer or officers having the care and custody of those items. History: 1954, Act 116, Eff.
