§ 168.943

168.943 Recorder's court; jurisdiction; circuit courts, jurisdiction. Sec. 943. The recorder's court in the city of Detroit shall have cognizance and jurisdiction of all offenses under this act committed within the limits of said city, and the offender may in all cases be there proceeded against by information, as provided by the charter of said city or any other statute applicable thereto. In all other cases, the circuit court for the proper county shall have cognizance of such offenses committed within the county, and in cases where the punishment is by such fine or such imprisonment, 1 or both, as the justice's court may impose.
