21.243 State laws providing for other forms of state aid, cost-sharing agreements, or methods of making disbursements; MCL 21.234(5)(i) inapplicable to police, fire, or emergency medical transport services. Sec. 13. This act does not prohibit the legislature from enacting state laws to provide for other forms of state aid, cost-sharing agreements, or specific methods of making disbursements to a local unit of government for a cost incurred pursuant to state laws enacted to which this act applies. Although not required by article IX, section 29 of the state constitution of 1963, the provisions of section 4(5)(i) shall not apply to any standards, requirements or guidelines which require increased necessary costs for activities and services directly related to police, fire, or emergency medical transport services.
