(1) A school bus may be equipped with a stop-arm camera system in accordance with this section. (2) A school district may do any of the following: (a) Install and operate a stop-arm camera system on a school bus. (b) Enter into an agreement with 1 or more law enforcement agencies that establishes enforcement responsibilities for and the reimbursement of any costs related to a camera-based violation of section 682(1) of the Michigan vehicle code, 1949 PA 300, MCL 257.682. (c) Enter into a contract with a private vendor to do 1 or more of the following: (i) Install, operate, and provide support to a stop-arm camera system on a school bus. (ii) Perform the school district's obligations under an agreement described in subdivision (b) on behalf of the school district. (3) If required by a contract entered into under subsection (2), a private vendor operating a stop-arm camera system shall provide all of the following information to a law enforcement agency authorized to
