257.204 Administration and enforcement of act; establishment of highway patrol prohibited; rules; official seal. Sec. 204. (1) Except as provided in this act, the secretary of state shall observe, enforce, and administer this act. The secretary of state shall not establish a highway patrol. (2) The secretary of state may promulgate rules pursuant to Act No. 306 of the Public Acts of 1969, as amended, being sections 24.201 to 24.315 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, necessary to administer this act.
