28.246 Neglect or refusal of officers or officials to perform duties as misdemeanor; penalty. Sec. 6. Neglect or refusal of any of the officers or officials mentioned in sections 2, 3, and 7 to report as required under this act or to perform any other act required to be performed by him or her under this act shall constitute a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not less than $25.00 nor more than $100.00, or by imprisonment for not more than 60 days, or both. Such neglect or refusal shall also constitute nonfeasance in office and subject the official or officer to removal from office. History: 1925, Act 289, Imd. Eff.
