28.411 Stolen and recovered personal property; report to state police, form. Sec. 1. It shall be the duty of all law enforcement officers to report to the Michigan state police all stolen and all recovered personal property of a value of $25.00 or over: Provided, That a report shall not be required with respect to personal property recovered, and the owner thereof known, within 48 hours of the receipt of the report of such stolen personal property. Such reports shall be made upon forms prescribed and furnished by the Michigan state police, within 48 hours of the receipt of the report of such stolen or recovered personal property.
