29.10 Service of orders.Sec. 10. Service of an order of the state fire marshal under section 9, or of any other order made by the state fire marshal under this act, may be made in 1 or more of the following ways: (a) By personally delivering a copy of the order to the person or persons to whom it is directed within this state. (b) By delivering a copy of the order by registered mail, addressed to the last known post-office address of the addressee, and deliverable to the addressee only, with return receipt requested. Service under this subdivision is personal and not substituted service. (c) If a person to whom the order is directed cannot be found, does not have a known post-office address, or is not a resident of this state, by publication in a newspaper published or circulating in the county in which the property or premises described in the order is situated, once in each week for 3 successive weeks, the last publication to be made at least 10 days before the date of performance specified in the order.
