324.4908 State agencies; officers and employees; use; purpose; grant recipients; records. Sec. 4908. (1) The department, with consent of the head of any other agency of this state, shall use the officers and employees of such agency as may be found necessary to assist in carrying out the purposes of this part. (2) A recipient of a grant under this part shall keep records as the department prescribes, including records that fully disclose the amount and disposition by the recipient of the proceeds of the grant, the total cost of construction of the collecting sewers in connection with the grant given or used, and the amount of that portion of the cost of construction of the collecting sewers supplied by other sources, and other records as will facilitate an effective audit. The department, the auditor general, and the state treasurer or any of their duly authorized representatives shall have access, for the purpose of audit and examination, to any books, documents, papers, and records of the recipient that are pertinent to grants received under this part.
