324.11136 Certifying acceptance of waste for transportation; delivery of hazardous waste and manifest; period for keeping copy of manifest; review and inspection of manifest; extension of retention period. Sec. 11136. (1) The hazardous waste transporter shall certify acceptance of waste for transportation and shall deliver the hazardous waste and accompanying manifest only to the destination specified by the generator on the manifest. (2) The hazardous waste transporter shall keep a copy of the manifest for a period of 3 years and shall make it readily available for review and inspection by the department, the director of public health, an authorized representative of the director of public health, a peace officer, or a representative of the United States environmental protection agency. The retention period required by this subsection shall be automatically extended during the course of any unresolved enforcement action regarding the regulated activity or as required by the department.
