Michigan Legal Code
324.19301 Bonds; authorization; limitation; purpose. Sec. 19301. The state shall borrow a sum not to exceed $660,000,000.00 and issue the general obligation bonds of this state, pledging the full faith and credit of the state for the payment of principal and interest on the bonds, to finance environmental protection programs that would clean up sites of toxic and other environmental contamination and contribute to a regional Great Lakes protection fund, address solid waste problems, treat sewage and other water quality problems, and reuse industrial sites and preserve open space.
