324.20114a Undertaking response activities without prior approval of department; exception; completion; submission of no further action report.Sec. 20114a. (1) Subject to section 20114 and other applicable law, a person may undertake response activities without prior approval by the department unless 1 or more response activities are being conducted pursuant to an administrative order or agreement or judicial decree that requires prior department approval. Except as otherwise provided in this part, conducting response activities under this section does not relieve any person who is liable under this part from the obligation to conduct further response activities as may be required by the department under this part or other applicable law. (2) Upon completion of remedial actions that satisfy the cleanup criteria established under this part, a person undertaking remedial actions may submit to the department a no further action report.
