324.43903 Retention of certain money in trust fund on permanent basis; expenditures.Sec. 43903. (1) The Michigan nongame fish and wildlife trust fund shall maintain a principal balance of not less than $6,000,000.00, which shall be retained in the trust fund on a permanent basis. (2) The interest and earnings of the trust fund and any money not otherwise retained on a permanent basis under subsection (1) shall be expended for the purposes of implementing the management plan described in section 43904. In implementing the management plan described in section 43904, the department may expend money from the Michigan nongame fish and wildlife trust fund for grants to state colleges and universities.
