324.78302 Operation and maintenance of docks and approaches to docks; determination; purpose; relinquishment of control. Sec. 78302. The department shall operate and maintain the docks, and approaches to the docks, as the department determines is necessary to serve tourism and boating in the area. The department shall relinquish control of the docks and approaches for use by the state or any of its agencies if for any reason the Mackinac Straits bridge becomes unusable, or in the event of an emergency declared by the governor.
