324.80108a Operation of airboat within certain distance of residence; limitation; exceptions.Sec. 80108a. (1) A person shall not operate an airboat on the waters of this state within 450 feet of a residence between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. at a speed in excess of the minimum speed required to maintain forward movement. (2) Subsection (1) does not apply to any of the following: (a) The operation of an airboat in an emergency when necessary to protect public safety. (b) The operation of an airboat so as to free the airboat when it has run aground. (c) The operation of an airboat for a governmental purpose if the airboat is clearly marked and identified as being used for a governmental purpose. History: Add. 2008, Act 152, Imd. Eff.
