324.81151 Abandonment of ORV prohibited; presumption; violation; civil infraction.Sec. 81151. (1) A person shall not abandon an ORV in this state. (2) The last titled owner of the ORV is presumed to be responsible for abandoning the ORV unless the person provides a record of the transfer of the ORV to another person. The record of transfer must be either a photocopy of the reassigned title or a form or document that includes the transferee's name, address, driver license number, and signature, the date of transfer of the ORV, and, if applicable, the sale price. (3) Sections 80130f(2) to 80130p apply to an ORV in the same manner as those provisions apply to a vessel. (4) A person who violates subsection (1) and who fails to redeem the ORV before disposition of the ORV under section 80130k is responsible for a state civil infraction as provided in section 8905a.
