330.1272 Additional duties of department.Sec. 272. The department shall do all of the following: (a) Establish a statewide information system for the collection of statistics, management data, and other information required for the implementation of this chapter. (b) Collect, analyze, and disseminate data concerning substance use disorder treatment and rehabilitation services and substance use disorder prevention services. (c) Prepare, publish, evaluate, and disseminate educational material as to the nature and effect of alcohol and drugs. (d) Organize, sponsor, and fund training programs for persons directly or indirectly engaged in the treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of substance use disorder. (e) Conduct and provide grant-in-aid funds to conduct research on the incidence, prevalence, causes, and treatment of substance use disorder and disseminate this information to the public and to substance use disorder services professionals.
