333.13515 Department as radiation control agency; duties generally. Sec. 13515. (1) The department is designated as the radiation control agency of this state and shall coordinate radiation control programs of state departments acting within their statutory authorities. (2) Pursuant to rules promulgated under this part, the department shall require licensing and registration of radioactive materials and other sources of ionizing radiation. (3) The department shall develop and conduct programs for evaluation and control of hazards associated with the use of radioactive materials and other sources of ionizing radiation.
