§ 333.13825

333.13825 Investigation and confirmation of violation; report; corrective and protective measures; consultations; assistance; information on results of investigation. Sec. 13825. (1) If there is a suspected violation of this part on the premises of a health facility or agency or on the premises of an incinerator owned and operated by a health facility or agency, the department of public health shall promptly conduct an investigation to confirm the violation. If the suspected violation is reported to the department of natural resources, a local health department, the department of state police, or any other state or local governmental agency, the report immediately shall be transmitted to the department of public health. If the investigation confirms the existence of a violation of this part, the department of public health may if appropriate take measures to correct the violation and to do all things necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare and the environment. (2) The department of public health may consult with the department of natural resources, the appropriate local health department, the department of state police, and the department of attorney general on
