***** 333.16276a.added THIS ADDED SECTION IS EFFECTIVE 91 DAYS AFTER ADJOURNMENT OF THE 2024 REGULAR SESSION SINE DIE ***** 333.16276a.added Medical exfoliation procedures; supervision of licensed physician required; knowledge and consent required.Sec. 16276a. (1) A licensee, registrant, or other individual shall not perform a medical exfoliation procedure unless the procedure is performed under the supervision of a licensed physician. (2) A licensee, registrant, or other individual shall not perform a medical exfoliation procedure unless the patient has knowledge and consents to the procedure being performed by that licensee, registrant, or individual. (3) Subsection (1) does not apply to a licensed physician. (4) As used in this section, 'medical exfoliation procedure' means a procedure exfoliating the skin cells of an individual in the layers of epidermis below the stratum corneum by dermaplaning or microdermabrasion.
