333.2823 Registration of live birth occurring in moving conveyance. Sec. 2823. (1) When a live birth occurs in a moving conveyance in the United States and the child is first removed from the conveyance in this state, the birth shall be registered in this state. The place where the child is first removed from the conveyance shall be shown as the place of birth. (2) When a live birth occurs in a moving conveyance while in international waters or air space or a foreign country and the child is first removed from the conveyance in this state, the birth shall be registered in this state but the certificate shall show the actual place of birth insofar as the place can be determined.
