333.2871 Amendment of certificate or record; procedures; requirements; rules. Sec. 2871. (1) A certificate or record registered under this part may be amended only in accordance with this part or procedures adopted under section 2896. (2) Except as provided in subsection (3) and section 2872(1), a certificate or record amended under this section, section 2872, or section 2873 shall: (a) Have the original information contained in the amended item expunged. (b) Be marked 'amended'. (c) Contain the date of the amendment. (d) Identify the item amended. (3) The department shall promulgate rules to prescribe the conditions under which an addition or minor amendment may be made to a certificate or record not later than 1 year after the date of the event without the certificate or record being considered as amended.
