§ 339.5927

339.5927 Examination for chief, deputy, or special inspectors, boiler operators, and stationary engineers.Sec. 927. (1) All of the following apply to an examination for chief, deputy, or special inspectors, boiler operators, and stationary engineers: (a) The examination shall be a written examination. (b) The board shall administer the examination and ensure that at least 2 members of the board are present at all times during the examination. (c) The examination shall only include questions that will aid in determining the fitness and competency of the applicant for the intended service, and may be the questions prepared by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. (d) The board may adopt any examination it determines appropriate and may delegate any administrative functions relating to the conduct of the examination. (2) If an individual fails to pass the examination described in this section, he or she may appeal to the board for another examination and the board shall give that examination within 90 days.
