35.1072 Assistance or services based on income level; exclusion of judgment or settlement for exposure to agent orange. Sec. 2. A department or agency of the state that grants assistance, provides services, or charges for services based upon income level shall not take into consideration as income or resources an amount paid to a person that is a judgment or settlement for damages suffered as a result of exposure to agent orange, as defined in section 5701 of the public health code, Act No. 368 of the Public Acts of 1978, being section 333.5701 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.
