35.85 Guardian; discharge, release of sureties. Sec. 15. Discharge of guardian and release of sureties. When a minor ward for whom a guardian has been appointed under the provisions of this act or other laws of this state shall have attained his or her majority, and if incompetent shall be declared competent by the court, and when any incompetent ward, not a minor, shall be declared competent by the court, the guardian shall file a final account. Upon hearing, following notice to the former minor or incompetent and to the veterans administration in the manner and within the time provided by section 9, and upon approval of the final account the court may so adjudge, and discharge the guardian and release the sureties from liability upon delivery to the former ward of the assets due him by the former guardian, and may make such further order as may be lawful.
