38.505 Civil service commission; clerk. Sec. 5. The city clerk or city recorder of any city, village or municipality under the terms of this act shall 'ex officio' be clerk of the civil service commission and shall supply to the commission without extra compensation all necessary clerical and stenographic services for the work of the civil service commission.
