§ 380.472

380.472 School for confinement, discipline, instruction, and maintenance of children. Sec. 472. A first class school district may establish, maintain, and conduct a school for the purpose of affording a place of confinement, discipline, instruction, and maintenance of children of the city of compulsory school age who may be committed to the school by a court of competent jurisdiction, or admitted on the recommendation of the judge with the consent of their parents or guardian. A child who has been convicted of an offense punishable by confinement in a penal institution shall not be committed or admitted to the school. History: 1976, Act 451, Imd. Eff.
