380.511-380.518 Repealed. 1994, Act 416, Eff. July 30, 1997. Compiler's Notes: Sec. 518 (MCL 380.518) of Act 451 of 1976, as added by Act 416 of 1994, provides:'Sec. 518. This part is repealed if the final disposition of council of organizations and others for education about parochiaid, inc., et al., v John Engler (Ingham county circuit court case no. 94-78461-AW) is that part 6a, as added by Act No. 362 of the Public Acts of 1993, is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be constitutional, effective, or otherwise valid.'In Council of Organizations and Others for Education About Parochiaid, Inc., et al. v John Engler, 455 Mich 557 (1997), the Michigan Supreme Court held that 1993 PA 362, which added Part 6A--Public School Academies to the School Code of 1976, did not violate art 8, sec 2, or art 8, sec 3 of the Michigan Constitution of 1963.
