388.1608c Cyber schools; pupil participation; tracking attendance not required.Sec. 8c. (1) Beginning July 1, 2021, the department shall not require, including, but not limited to, through the pupil accounting manual or pupil auditing manual, for any of the following purposes, that a cyber school, as that term is defined in section 551 of the revised school code, MCL 380.551, ensure that each pupil enrolled in the cyber school participate in all of the hours of educational services made available to the pupil by the cyber school or track a pupil's participation in the educational program offered by the cyber school through attendance: (a) For the purposes of section 6(4)(h), for establishing a pupil's participation in the cyber school's educational program.
