388.1617c Grants to districts, intermediate districts, and eligible entities; accessibility; review by state board.Sec. 17c. (1) Except as otherwise provided under this article, the department shall do both of the following for funds appropriated under this article for grants distributed by the department to districts, intermediate districts, and eligible entities: (a) Open the grant application for funds appropriated for the immediately succeeding fiscal year by not later than September 1 of the current fiscal year or 30 calendar days after the state school aid budget for the immediately succeeding fiscal year is enacted into law, whichever occurs later. The department shall also provide to districts, intermediate districts, and eligible entities, and post on its publicly accessible website, the grant application and award process schedule and the list of state grants and contracts available in the immediately succeeding fiscal year. (b) Publish grant awards for funds appropriated in the current fiscal year by not later than December 1 of the current fiscal year. (2) Information for grants awarded from funds appropriated under this article for the immediately succeeding fiscal in the current fiscal year by not later than December 1 of the current fiscal year. (2) Information for grants awarded from funds appropriated under this article for the immediately succeeding fiscal year must be placed on the state board agenda in August of the current fiscal year or in the month immediately following the month in which the state school aid budget for the immediately succeeding fiscal year is enacted into law, whichever occurs later.
