388.1624b Parents or legal guardian residing in different districts; enrollment of child. Sec. 24b. For the purposes of this act, without regard to whether a parent or legal guardian has custody of the child, if a child's parents, or a child's parent or parents and the child's legal guardian, reside in different districts and if the child meets the applicable age requirements, the child may enroll in a district in which either of the child's parents resides, or in which the child's legal guardian resides. When a child described in this section enrolls in a district under this section, that district is the child's district of residence for the purposes of this act. History: Add. 1996, Act 372, Eff.
