***** 388.1625k THIS SECTION IS REPEALED BY ACT 120 OF 2024 EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2024 ***** 388.1625k Allocation to certain secure residential facilities; educational services to student residents.Sec. 25k. (1) From the state school aid fund money appropriated under section 11, there is allocated an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.00 for 2023-2024 only for payments to a district that, as of April 1, 2023, was providing a full complement of educational services to students who reside in a secure residential facility, as provided in this section. (2) In order to receive funding under this section, the district described in subsection (1) must use the funding to provide and enhance schooling for convicted juvenile offenders who have been assigned to a juvenile treatment program in a secure residential facility that is located in a city with a population between 8,950 and 9,050 located in a county with a population greater than 1,500,000 according to the most recent federal decennial census. (3) Notwithstanding section 17b, the department shall make payments under this section on a schedule determined by the department. History: Add. 2023, Act 103, Eff. Oct. 1, 2023
