***** 388.1627q THIS SECTION IS REPEALED BY ACT 120 OF 2024 EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2024 ***** 388.1627q Hamtramck school district; accelerated learning coaches.Sec. 27q. From the state school aid fund money appropriated in section 11, there is allocated $2,000,000.00 for 2023-2024 only to the school district of the city of Hamtramck for both of the following purposes: (a) To hire accelerated learning coaches for each of the 8 schools in the district. The coaches described in this subdivision shall do all of the following: (i) Lead efforts in the district to support learning and teaching. (ii) Work directly with teachers to model lessons, co-teach, and work with small groups. (iii) Prioritize equitable access to grade-level content and high-quality resources for all students. (iv) Focus on the depth of instruction rather than the pace, and implement an accelerated learning cycle to identify gaps and scaffold instruction as needed. (v) Collaborate with teachers to provide support in addressing learning gaps and improving student achievement. (b) For the provision of professional development for the coaches described in subdivision (a).
