388.1861 University of Michigan biological station at Douglas Lake.Sec. 261. The University of Michigan biological station at Douglas Lake in Cheboygan County is considered a unique resource and is designated as a special research reserve. It is the intent of the legislature to protect and preserve the unique long-term research value and capabilities of the biological station area and Douglas Lake. The legislature further intends that no state programs or policies be developed that would have a deleterious impact on the research value of Douglas Lake. History: Add. 2011, Act 62, Eff.
