4.83 Contempts; misdemeanor; penalty. Sec. 3. Every person who shall be guilty of any contempt specified in the preceding section shall also be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison, not exceeding 5 years, or by imprisonment in the county jail, not exceeding 1 year, or by fine, not exceeding 1,000 dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment in the county jail, in the discretion of the court.
