400.252 County juvenile officer or assistant county juvenile officer; options; election. Sec. 2. A person employed as a county juvenile officer or assistant county juvenile officer as of September 30, 1980 shall elect 1 of the following options before October 1, 1980: (a) To receive the applicable salary specified in section 1(3) or (4) and the expenses specified in section 1(5), and to participate in the retirement program provided by the state employees' retirement system in Act No. 240 of the Public Acts of 1943, as amended, being sections 38.1 to 38.47 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, and fringe benefits provided by the state civil service commission rules for members in state classified service, including retirement and insurance programs, sick leave, annual leave, and holidays as provided in section 1(7) and subject to section 4. (b) To receive the applicable salary specified in section 1(3) or (4), the expenses specified in section 1(5), the fringe benefits prescribed in section 1(8), and the retirement program provided by the state employees' retirement system in Act No. 240 of the Public Acts of 1943, as amended.
