400.572 Definitions. Sec. 2. As used in this act: (a) 'Governing body' means board, council, or body in which the legislative powers of a local unit of government are vested. (b) 'Local unit of government' means a county, township, city, or village. (c) 'Activities or services' means identifiable actions directed toward the improvement of the social, legal, health, housing, educational, emotional, nutritional, recreational, or mobility status of older persons. (d) 'Older person' means an individual 60 years of age or older. (e) 'Funds' means general tax revenues, federal revenue sharing funds, state revenue sharing funds, and other funds under the control of the governing body. History: 1976, Act 39, Imd. Eff.
